The short version

Wovin is built so your media never reaches us. Your library lives on your own server and streams directly between your devices and that server — it does not pass through our cloud, and we cannot see it.

What the cloud service handles

The cloud service — a Wovin account is required to run or watch a server — handles sign-in identity, notifications, helping devices reach your server, your server’s HTTPS certificate, the community database and billing. It does not store your watch history or your media.
